Unboxing: Revolution, Wild About Rev Vegan Set

revolution wild about rev vegan set review, unboxing

Anyone else just love treating themselves? I certainly do. I ordered myself this makeup box set, which I love getting when it comes out around Christmas time. I ordered myself the Revolution, Wild About Rev, Vegan set which is currently out of stock for home delivery, but you can still get in the store, which has gone from £60 to £40, however if you are a Superdrug member you get it for £20. Is that a bargain or what!?

Inside you get:

-1x Rainbow Metallics Eyeshadow Palette
-1x Matte Neutrals Eyeshadow Palette
-1x Smoke and Shimmer Eyeshadow Palette
-1x Translucent Pressed Powder
-1x Eye Primer
-3x Eye Brushes
-3x Liquid Lip Set (matte/cream/gloss)
-1x Eye Defining Kit (eye liner, brow pencil, liner brush)
-1x Blush and Highlight Palette
-1x Bronze and Contour Palette
-1x Illuminating Primer
-1x Illuminating Fixing Spray

I find everything in the box to be really good, I have used almost everything and the pigment on the eyeshadows are really good. The primer makes my foundation stay on and look smooth throughout the day, the brushes are really good quality that normally I have brush hairs left on my face, not any from these and the translucent powder works wonders, not leaving me looking like a panda at the end of the day. 10/10 from me.

Christmas Blogger Tag

Monday, 2 December 2019

Hey there! I have a Christmas blogger tag for you to read, for you to get to know me better and for you to also join in too. I find these so fun to do, so why not join in and give me your answers too. At the bottom of the post will be the questions so that you can copy and paste it for yourselves.

1. Favourite candle scent?

I don't really have one. I love candles but I love all scents. Once I find my favourite I'll let you know.

2. Tea, coffee or hot chocolate?

Oh my gosshhhh! This is hard. I love all three. I'm going to say tea, only because I start my day off with one, and I find that tea fixes everything, lol.

3. What's your favourite Christmas movie?

Love Actually. I love how there are so many stories that at the end comes together, I find it so cleverly done and it's funny. Really gets me in the Christmas spirit.

4. What is your favourite Christmas song?

I always listen to 'All I Want for Christmas Is You' by Mariah Carey. I have many favourites but this is what I always stick on and try to sing along too.

5. Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?

Oh no! We wait until Christmas Day. It's the only day my brothers and myself are up really early, we wait for our parents to get up, have a cup of tea and coffee, then make the living room all messy by opening the presents.

6. Be honest, do you like giving or receiving gifts better?

Giving. Yeah receiving presents is lovely, however I always get more excited giving. I always go over board. Last year the Christmas tree was covered in presents from me, my family couldn't fit theirs under the tree. My bad! So yes, definitely giving.

7. Are you a pro present wrapper or do you fail miserably?

I start off wrapping nicely, I like to add ribbons and make sure everything matches nicely, then halfway through my back starts to hurt and it gets a little messy. Towards the end I have given up and it looks like a 4 year old had done it. least it gets wrapped. Better than my brothers method, putting it in a carrier bag and wrapping duct tape around it, actually thinking about it, my boyfriend puts it in a bag too. Must be a guy thing. (Insert rolling eye emoji)

8. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer?

Psshhh! I can barely remember what I go upstairs for. Can you name them all?

9. Is your Christmas tree real or fake?

It's fake, we've had the same one for years, really easy to set up and take back down again. I remember putting lights on the tree the other year and started at the bottom working my way up. I thought I did a beautiful job until I realized when I was done I had the plug in my hand at the top of the tree. I wasn't impressed when I had to start that over again.

10. What makes the holidays special for you?

My family 100%. I love it when we all get together, have a great laugh, music going, it's such a great atmosphere.

It's now your turn, let me know in the comments below.

1. Favourite candle scent?
2. Tea, coffee or hot chocolate?
3. What is your favourite Christmas movie?
4. What is your favourite Christmas song?
5.Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?
6. Be honest, do you like giving or receiving gifts better?
7. Are you a pro present wrapper or do you fail miserably?

Four Year Blogiversary

Monday, 4 November 2019

Hey there! I'm afraid I am 2 days late on this post, but can you believe I have been blogging for 4 years? No, I can't either. I thought I'd write a post about my blogging journey, and also a chance for you to get to know me better.

It all started on November 2nd, 2015. I have always enjoyed writing, I used to write short stories and to this day I still buy loads of notebooks so that I can write. One day I decided to get my laptop out and create a blog. When I first set up my website I remember feeling extremely nervous but excited at the same time, I wasn't sure who would be interested in reading what I had to write.

November 2015 was also the same time I started my Youtube channel, where on there and my blog I create beauty, fashion and lifestyle content. It was very scary at first but I really enjoyed it, and I still enjoy it now. I'm not as active as I'd like to be as I have a part time job and a social life, however one day I would love to be a full time blogger.

In my head, I had it as quantity over quality. I would think I had to constantly upload so I'd type up a post in 5 minutes, add a random picture and upload so I had something to upload. One day I looked at my blog and I just fell out of love with it. I hated that every post was rushed, and I made it all about me. I wanted my blog to be a place where you could grab some helpful information and I made it about you too. There were far too many posts to get rid of and thought it all needed to go, so I made the tough decision of leaving my followers and readers and deleted the blog and created this one, hence why in 4 years of blogging there are hardly any posts on here. I am now treating my blog more like a business rather than a hobby, which gives off a completely different mind set, and I still get excited when it comes to creating content.

I love my blog, it has a long way to go and I am still learning new things like, when to upload, what my readers would enjoy reading, but the important and main thing is, I am enjoying it and loving it. I also created a new Instagram page dedicated for just my blog and Youtube channel, so if you would like to follow me on there my insta name is @kat.official_ where I upload everything beauty, fashion and lifestyle related.

- I would like to stick to a schedule, I always change it because I never know when the best time and day to upload is, so my days of upload will be on a Monday, and when I get used to the schedule I would like to start posting twice a week, so on a Monday and Friday.

- Create good content. I never know what would be enjoyable to read, I create content of what I am into however I don't know if it's content of what you would like to read, so I am always open to suggestions.

- Monthly wallpapers. I love designing and editing and would love to make wallpapers a monthly thing. So expect to see more wallpapers.

Thank you for everyone's support, I appreciate it. Have a great day

Review: Function Of Beauty Shampoo & Conditioner

Function of beauty review

If you are thinking of buying Function of Beauty shampoo & conditioner but you're just not sure, well I am going to give you my honest review and talk you through each step to hopefully make up that mind of yours.

The Hair Quiz

So when you head over to the website you start your quiz that only takes 5 minutes.
You select your:
- Hair type, structure and moisture
- Up to 5 Hair goals
- Fragrance and fragrance strength
- Name to go on the bottle
- Shampoo & Conditioner bottle colours
- Bottle size

It's all pretty much straight forward, sounds like a lot to go through but literally takes no time at all, and if you have any trouble understanding what your hair type could be, click here and scroll to the bottom, there is a guide for you to go through to help you out if you are stuck.

What's Inside Your Order

All you do now is wait for your delivery to arrive. It comes in a light green box, and inside has your order and two pumps to be screwed on yourself when you are ready to use them, just chuck the caps away into recycling, a leaflet of everything you chose in the quiz and what's inside the bottles and fun stickers for you to stick onto your bottles.

The shampoo and conditioner are:
- Cruelty free
- Vegan
- Paraben free
- Sulfate Free

- Okay, lets talk about the price. The prices are between £29-£39, depending on the size you would like to go for. I was originally put off with the price as this isn't my first time ordering from Function of Beauty. My first thought was, this is a little pricey for shampoo and conditioner, then I thought actually, it's not too bad. Considering they make these shampoo's and conditioner's your own that is suitable for your hair type, and make it completely your own is actually really good.

- My hair has never felt so soft and looked so shiny. So this is how my hair is...I wash it every 3-4 days, I use heat on it every day and I dye my hair almost every month, because I get bored of my hair too quickly, so you would think my hair would be dry, covered in split ends that really needs a good cut. Wrong! I get compliments on my hair because not only does it look shiny, people say it looks super healthy and it feels in really good condition too. All thanks to this shampoo and conditioner, I have been using Function of Beauty for about 6 months now. My hairdresser said she was so surprised my hair is so healthy and strong considering I dye it all the time.

So there we are. Hope this helps, let me know what you think of the shampoo & conditioner.

Autumn Wallpapers

Monday, 21 October 2019

For a couple of years I always wanted to make my own wallpapers. I love being creative and designing things, I'm not very artsy so I would never draw, however when it comes to doing it online and editing, I am in my element. I see other bloggers do it and I always think "I wish that was me doing that too." So here I am creating wallpapers. They will be over on my Instagram too in my highlights for the phone wallpapers.
