Finding Inner Peace

Finding inner peace is a journey that begins with self-awareness and self-acceptance. It is a process of understanding and accepting our own thoughts, emotions, and experiences without judgment. This journey requires us to let go of our past traumas and negative beliefs, and to live in the present moment. It also involves learning to forgive ourselves and others, and to practice gratitude and compassion.

It's not about escaping from our problems or avoiding difficult emotions, but rather facing them with a sense of calm and clarity. It is about finding a balance between our outer world and inner world and learning to tune out the noise and distractions of the external world. This can be achieved through practices such as meditation, mindfulness, and self-reflection.

It is important to remember that inner peace is not a destination, but a continuous journey that requires constant effort and self-care. It allows us to live a more meaningful and fulfilling life, and to spread positivity and love to those around us.

This took me a good year. After falling into toxic relationships and listening to all the negative energy I was being fed every day. Having to look a certain way or I looked too fat. I can't be saying this and I can't be thinking that, blah blah blah the list can go on. It certainly drains it out of you, your self-esteem hits rock bottom and you're left with just you, yourself, and your thoughts. This year was a long journey to finding myself again, and I don't actually need to rely on anyone but myself, and THAT, is a bloody good feeling I'll tell you that!

Let go of things we cannot control
We often hold onto past experiences or worry about the future, causing unnecessary stress and anxiety. By accepting that some things are beyond our control we can then start focusing on the present moment.

Learning to forgive
Both ourselves and others. Holding onto grudges and the past only weighs us down and prevents us from moving forward. Forgiveness does not mean forgetting, but rather releasing the negative emotions associated with it. By forgiving we can let go of anger, resentment, and bitterness and make space for more positive emotions.

Practicing gratitude
This helps us to appreciate the simple things in life and reminds us of all the good that surrounds us. It is easy to get caught up in the cycle of wanting more and comparing ourselves to others. However, by focusing on what we already have and expressing gratitude for it, we can shift our perspective and find happiness in the present moment

Self-care is essential
It involves taking care of our physical, mental, and emotional well-being. This can include regular exercise, eating nourishing foods, getting enough rest, and engaging in activities that we enjoy. By prioritizing self-care, you're already a whole new person

Letting go of negative self-talk and self-judgment
We are our own worst critics, and these negative thoughts can block us from experiencing peace within ourselves. Instead, we need to speak to ourselves with kindness, just as we would to a friend. This not only helps improve our self-esteem but also allows us to view ourselves in a more positive light

Inner peace involves finding a balance between acceptance and growth, forgiveness and gratitude, and self-care and self-compassion. It may not always be easy, we all have our bad days but it's a journey that is well worth it, for a fulfilling and meaningful life.
